IV. Approval of the Grants Review Meeting Draft Minutes for Feb. 8, 2021 (Attach. 1)Action Required

V. COVID Recovery Grant in Collaboration with Desert HealthCare District (DHCD)- Action Item

The RAP Grants Committee met on Feb. 8. After listening to the RAP Staff’s report of the meeting they had earlier with DHCD staff and reviewing Flow Chart A (Attach. 2), the Committee recommended that it be moved forward to the Board for approval.

However, RAP and DHCD staff met to discuss/fine tune the process. We created an Option B Flow Chart (Attach. 3) which decreases the timeline by one month. This will require reducing the period for nonprofits to submit an application from 3 weeks to 2 weeks. Also, it will require that the Executive Committee act on behalf of the Board to consider the Grants Committee recommendation and for the action to be ratified by the Board at the next meeting.

Staff Recommendation: To review and provide input on the updated process and advance it to the Board with the both Committees recommendations to approve.
