III. Accept and file October 15, 2020 Meeting Minutes (Attach A) Action Item

IV. COVID Recovery Grant in Collaboration with Desert HealthCare District (DHCD)- Action Item

Previously RAP partnered with DHCD to each contribute $100,000 to a joint pool for nonprofits in the Coachella Valley and Blythe (for RAP’s benefit only) negatively impacted by COVID-19 to apply for.  There is interest from both organizations to repeat this funding.  Things to consider:

  1. One application – DHCD/RAP
  2. Amounts limited to $5,000
  3. Limited to nonprofits negatively impacted by COVID-19
  4. Request for Proposals Process:
    Who will review applications?  Readers/HMH Committee/Respective Board’s Grants Committee or Program Committee
    Respective Board’s input?

Recommendation:  To recommend that the RAP Board Grants Committee to recommend approval of this process for this one-time only.

Topics:  Cultural competency, Suicide Awareness, and DHCD Community Health Needs Assessment.
